Ο κ. Σταύρος Κωνσταντάς είναι πτυχιούχος Μαθηματικού στο ΕΚΠΑ, ολοκλήρωσε επιτυχώς Μεταπτυχιακό κύκλο σπουδών στο Μαθηματικό στο ΕΚΠΑ και είναι από το 1994 Αδειούχος αναλογιστής και μέλος της Ένωσης Αναλογιστών Ελλάδος. Έχει 33 χρόνια εμπειρία στον ασφαλιστικό Κλάδο υπηρετώντας διάφορες θέσεις. Έχει διατελέσει ανώτατο στέλεχος σε πολυεθνικές και Ελληνικές Ασφαλιστικές Εταιρίες με έδρα της Ελλάδα σαν Chief Actuary, Operations Manager, C.F.O., C.O.O., Chief Bank assurance Officer και C.E.O. Έχει διατελέσει Πρόεδρος και Μέλος Διοικητικών Συμβουλίων τόσο σε θυγατρικές των Εταιριών που εργαζόταν στο εσωτερικό αλλά και στο εξωτερικό (Κύπρος, Ρουμανία, Βουλγαρία) αλλά και σε θεσμικούς φορείς της Ασφαλιστικής Αγοράς όπως η ΕΑΕΕ, το ΕΙΑΣ και η ΕΕΑ. Από την 1.1.2023 με απόφαση του Γενικού Συμβουλίου της Τράπεζας της Ελλάδος διορίσθηκε Διευθυντής Εποπτείας Ιδιωτικής Ασφάλισης και από 1.1.2025 Διευθυντής Εποπτείας Επαγγελματικής και Ιδιωτικής Ασφάλισης. Αποτελεί μέλος του Συμβουλίου Εποπτών της EIOPA και μέλος του Standing Committee on Risk and Resilience της EIOPA.

Mr. Stavros Konstantas has a Bachelor Degree in Mathematics from the University of Athens and has successfully completed a postgraduate study in Mathematics in the University of Athens and he is since 1994 Certified Actuary and Fellow of the Hellenic Actuarial Society. He has 33 years of experience in the Insurance sector serving multiple positions. He has held Senior Executive positions in multinationals and Greek Insurance Companies domiciled in Greece in positions such as : Chief Actuary, Operations Manager, CFO, COO, Chief Bank assurance Officer and CEO. He has been appointed as Chairman and Member of the BoD of Subsidiaries of Companies he has been employed in Greece and abroad ( Cyprus, Romania, Bulgaria ) and in institutional bodies of the Insurance sector as the Hellenic Association of Insurance Companies, the Hellenic Institute of Insurance Studies and Hellenic Actuarial Society. As from 1.1.2023 with a decision of the General Council of the Bank of Greece, he has been appointed Director of Directorate of Private Insurance Supervision and as from 1.1.2025 Director of Directorate of Occupational and Private Insurance Supervision. He is a member of the BoD of EIOPA and member of the Risk and Financial Stability Committee of EIOPA.
