Γενικός Διευθυντής στο Ίδρυμα Οικονομικών και Βιομηχανικών Ερευνών – ΙΟΒΕ και Καθηγητής στο Οικονομικό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών, όπου έχει υπηρετήσει ως Πρόεδρος του Τμήματος Οικovoμικής Επιστήμης και μέλος του Συμβουλίου του Ιδρύματος. Kάτοχος διδακτορικού από το University of Pennsylvania. Έχει εργαστεί ως Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής στο Duke University και ως Επισκέπτης Καθηγητής στο ΙNSEAD. Associate Editor του International Journal of Industrial Organization, μέλος της Εκτελεστικής Επιτροπής του European Association for Research in Industrial Economics και Ερευνητικός Εταίρος στο Centre for Economic Policy Research του Λονδίνου. Έχει υπηρετήσει ως μέλος της Ελληνικής Επιτροπής Ανταγωνισμού και του European Advisory Group for Competition Policy της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής Ανταγωνισμού. Συνδιοργανωτής του Conference for Research on Economic Theory and Econometrics και εκ των επιμελητών του Beyond Austerity (MIT Press) – Πέρα από τη Λιτότητα (ΠΕΚ, 2017). Αναπληρωτής Πρόεδρος της Ελληνικής Επιτροπής Αναπτυξιακού Σχεδιασμού («Επιτροπή Πισσαρίδη»), 2020.
General Director of the Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research – IOBE and Professor of Economics at the Athens University of Economics and Business, where he has served as Chairman of the Economics Department and member of the University Council. He holds a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania. He has been an Associate Professor at Duke University and a visiting Professor at INSEAD. Associate Editor of the International Journal of Industrial Organization, a Research Fellow at CEPR, UK, and a member of the Executive Committee of the European Association for Research in Industrial Economics. He has served as a member of the Hellenic Competition Commission and the Economic Advisory Group for Competition Policy at the European Commission. Co-organizer of Conference for Research on Economic Theory and Econometrics. Co-editor of Beyond Austerity: Reforming the Greek Economy (MIT Press, 2017). Vice-Chairman of the Growth Plan Committee of the Hellenic Republic for the Greek Economy, 2020.
